Making a lesson interactive is an incredible way to keep all students engaged. Asking questions to your audience is a great start. Not only will they be more enwrapped in the lesson, asking questions improves their understanding of different subjects. This also gives you as an instructor more insight on what your students are vs. are not understanding.
Games such as Kahoot and Blooket are great alternatives to engage younger audience in lessons as well.
While group projects are not universally loved, try arranging small groups of students during lessons to explain their understandings of the material. After students have co-examined the topic, ask everyones understanding on one specific topic they found interesting.
Different teachers tend to stick to their own different teaching styles, which makes all their lectures blend together. If a teacher were to change how they taught that day that lesson would stick out to students. The change factor keeps listeners engaged to see what each lecture will be like. Whether this change is on your mediums of learning or even what work you give. Try incorporating different forms of media like a youtube video instead of a textbook reading that blends together with all of the other work. Also provide real world examples that are easy to relate to or recognize. Students are more likely to remember current events that are happening right now, rather than things that hapend 100’s of years ago.
